Kathleen Duffy

Kathleen Duffy is the Senior Director of Career Development with the F. David Fowler Career Center at the George Washington University School of Business.

Kathleen comes to GWSB from a corporate career where she developed expertise in organizational development, human-resource management, operations, customer service and career development. She held leadership roles throughout her seventeen year career in the airline industry and built high performing teams in start-up environments.

In her current role as Senior Director of Career Development, Kathleen oversees a team of career consultants and project managers who are committed to providing students with coaching services designed to enhance student market-readiness. She enjoys connecting students with alumni and mentors who can be powerful advocates as students develop strategies for their personal and professional lives.


Pilar Segura

Pilar Segura is a senior career consultant with the F. David Fowler Career Center at the George Washington University School of Business (GWSB).

Pilar comes to GWSB with an extensive career as an international executive helping American multinationals conduct business globally. She earned the Key Contributor award for cross-cultural competence managing complex projects in 50 countries and working with clients in Asia, Africa, North and South America, Middle East, and Australia closing multi-million dollar deals. She co-founded startups in EdTech, Energy, and HealthTech and advised American corporations in the airlines, pharmaceuticals, and consumer goods industries. She has run her own consulting firm, C-12 Consulting, in energy and impact investment, since 2009, and later founded Simple, a talent, leadership, performance, and organizational development consulting firm. She has trained foreign entrepreneurs to navigate the U.S. corporate and startup cultures.

As a senior career consultant at FDFCC, Pilar provides international and cultural competence training, professional branding and pitch, among other topics, to prepare you to ace the interview process. She is strategic and a thought leader in the digital revolution, new skills training and development and an advocate for ethical algorithms and inclusion. She aims to keep her students strategic, strong and focused, self confident and adaptive throughout all facets of the job search process as key to maintain competitiveness. Additionally, she aims to provide the best technology adoption and process improvement to provide a seamless student experience, including online coaching services using instructional design based courses and webinars.
