What to Wear to LP 2025

The GW Women in Business Launch Party is right around the corner, and we couldn’t be more excited to kick off this year’s annual spring conference! This year's launch party theme, Sky's the Limit, sets the stage for an afternoon filled with inspiration, creativity, and connection. With dreamy elements like butterflies, stars, clouds, and sky-inspired colors such as light blues, navys, and pastels, we can’t wait to see how everyone brings the theme to life through their outfits.

To help you prepare, we've crafted a guide to make sure you feel comfortable and cute, while staying on theme! The dress code isn’t completely casual, but it’s all about looking put together in a way that feels warm and approachable. We’re aiming for a casual but polished aesthetic—so no sweats, but you also don’t need to break out your prom dress!

Start by choosing pieces in soft blues, navy, and pastel tones to capture the vibe of the theme.  This event is all about being approachable and stylish. Think knit sweaters, casual blazers, tailored jeans, or relaxed-fit dresses that let you move comfortably. If you’re aiming for a cozy vibe, you can channel a just-off-the-slopes look with warm but stylish pieces like turtleneck sweaters, wool skirts, or a cozy cardigan can also tie everything together beautifully. 

Accessories are a great way to nod to the theme without overthinking your outfit. Consider adding subtle butterfly or star motifs with jewelry, or carry a purse in a soft pastel shade. If you’re feeling bold, metallics or shimmer can represent the stars and add a bit of sparkle to your look.

As for shoes, opt for something comfortable yet cute. Ankle boots, ballet flats, or even a pair of polished sneakers could work depending on the rest of your outfit. The key is to feel ready to mingle, do activities, and have a great time without worrying about your feet!
